I am back to training and really enjoying riding my bike.
One of the workouts I do as part of my general training is my Hour of Power ride. The HOP is a mid week ride where I go all out for a 14 mile time trial in Umstead park. Today, I finished with 58:12 so slightly faster then an hour but a little slower then my personal best of 56:24. The ride is a very hard workout and at the same time gives me a chance to see how my fitness level changes over time.
I rode the HOP on my normal single speed with 36×22 gearing. This gearing is a bit light for the course. It helps me work on spinning and as a single speeder I think leg speed is an important skill.
I also took some more photos of my bike after the ride.
